Our investigators are the leaders in the field. Our investigators have risen to ranks such as Battalion Chief, Captain, and Fire Marshal. We feel credentials are not only important, but please note the following (in which all of our investigators possess):
Certifications:
- Private Investigator License
- Education (Over 90 units of Fire Science & other related courses)
- CFEI – Certified Fire & Explosion Investigator (NAFI) – National Association of Fire Investigators
- CFI – Certified Fire Investigator (IAAI) – International Association of Arson Investigators
- Active Membership in California Conference of Arson Investigators
Requirements:
- Extensive Experience (court, teaching, fire training exercises, classes, seminars)
- Training
- Jurisdiction (difficulty level of their department)
- Complete familiarity with NFPA 921 (National Fire Protection Association)
- Code compliance analysis
- Extensive expert testimony experience as a lead investigator (case to trial ratio)
- Communication skills (verbal, written)
